Do you have ancestors who attended a one room schoolhouse in West Virginia in the late 1920s? If so, look at the photos below from this schoolhouse in Bridgeport and see if you recognize any of the children.
I can identify two—Susetta (Susie) Jane Taylor (left) and Jean Dudley.

What cuties! I had a school picture with my ancestors in it and was able to find tidbits in old newspapers naming the children attending the school at that time. Couldn't match them to the pictures but at least know who was attending.
ReplyDeleteI asked Jean if she remembered any of the children when she shared the photo with me but unfortunately, she only remembered Susie. Hadn't thought about looking in the newspapers but that's a good idea! Thanks for taking a look!
