This post is part of an ongoing project to record names of enslaved people of Greene County, Georgia I find in historical records.
This document details the division of enslaved individuals in Greene County, Georgia, among the heirs of Billington M. Sanders, deceased. John H. Seals was allotted certain enslaved individuals, valued at a total of $1,850, from the estate. The Mrs. C. Sanders mentioned is Cynthia Sanders, the Executrix and wife of B. M. Sanders. For the purposes of this post, I have included only two pages from the record. To find others related to the estate of B. M. Sanders, please follow this link to the first of the two pages I have transcribed. Additional pages precede and follow these. Access to the FamilySearch website requires free registration.
