This post is part of an ongoing project to record names of enslaved people of Greene County, Georgia I find in historical records.
LANDS AND NEGROES FOR SALE.
Georgia, Greene County. Will be sold on the first Tuesday in November next, all the real estate and negroes, belonging to the estate of Jedediah Richards, late of said county deceased, consisting of a lot of one hundred and forty acres more or less, near Smyrna in said county adjoining lands of H. C. Peek, Thomas Merritt, and others. Also, a lot of four hundred acres more or less, in the same neighborhood, adjoining lands of I. A. Williams, Walker, Lewis, and others. A negro woman, named Catherine, about 30 years of age, and her two young children, and a negro woman named Rose, about 26 years of age, and her two children. To be sold under the Will of said Jedediah Richards.
